At Gifted Women, we support women overcoming multiple disadvantage to rebuild their lives through the power of employment. But we don’t do it alone. We work with employers who want to open doors, challenge stigma, and create fairer workplaces.
Whether you can offer an opportunity, share your skills, or simply want to be part of something that makes a real difference – we’d love to work with you.
A short work experience placement can go a long way.
Placements give women the chance to build confidence, try something new, and get used to the rhythms of a workplace again – all with our support in the background. They’re flexible, low-pressure, and designed to build experience and gain momentum.
Work experience placements are unpaid – which works well for the women we support, because it means they can build confidence and try something new without the immediate pressure of paid work. Moving into employment is a big step, and for many women, it takes time to feel ready. We can cover travel and other practical costs if needed.
We’ve supported women into placements in offices, education settings, warehouses, creative spaces, and more – always shaped around their interests, strengths, and the kind of environment where they can thrive.
“I hadn’t worked for over ten years. My placement helped me remember what I’m good at. It was the first step I needed to get myself back out there.” – A Gifted Woman
If you have a job opening, we may just be able to help you find the right candidate.
We work with women who are actively preparing for employment and ready to take the next step. We know their strengths, we support their journey, and we can help make the match.
Hiring with us isn’t about charity – it’s about welcoming fresh energy, real-world experience, and a different kind of strength into your workplace.
A few hours of your time can make a huge impact.
Employers regularly support our group sessions by offering mock interviews, sitting on Q&A panels, or sharing honest advice about recruitment and working life. It builds confidence, busts myths, and gives women insight into the world of work – from people who know it best.

Could you open your doors for a tour? Run a short workshop or demo?
We’ve taken groups behind the scenes at Citybus, run barista workshops with Jabulani CIC, and organised office walk-throughs and hands-on activities in a range of industries. These experiences help women see what’s out there, build confidence in different settings – and picture themselves in new roles.

We’re proud to be supported by local businesses like Total Energy Solutions and Ian Williams Limited, who’ve raised funds and awareness through workplace events, marathons, team challenges, and charity-of-the-year partnerships.
Your support helps us run more programmes, reach more women, and remove more barriers to employment – from travel costs to ID and clothing.
Whether you’re ready to offer a placement, host a session, support us with fundraising, or just want to start a conversation – we’d love to hear from you.
